Thank you all with much gratitude,
Laura and Suzee Q!
Judge's Surfs up is a Bronze Champion. So proud of this girl. She has had quite a year. Puppies in January, Grand Champion in July and Bronze Champion in November. Not bad for my first show dog. Again have to say thank you to Jim Johnson, he is a great mentor and friend and has helped me so much!! And can't leave out the rest of the gang that I have spent countless hours on weekends at dog shows with. (You all know who you are) And my best supporter, best friend and my so very kind and generous husband, Thomas!!
Thank you all with much gratitude, Laura and Suzee Q!

Always research the grooming requirements of the breed of puppy you are purchasing
You should ALWAYS brush your puppy/dog BEFORE bathing it yourself
Toenails are protein like ours and they grow regularly. They should be cut regularly as well. Can be done as often as weekly and at least should be done monthly.
A puppy that requires regular grooming should be started early so they get used to the noises and sounds and experiences of the grooming shop. Allow us to make that a positive experience right from the start. Even if you are not wanting them to get a haircut right away they can still learn the "ropes" early so they are not scared as a "teenager"
EASY TO MAINTAIN Puppy coat is very wash and wear! Alot of brushing is not neccessary when washing a puppy at home prior to 7 motnhs of age. But any time from 8-14months of age whether a shedding or non-shedding breed puppy coat changes. Puppy coat comes out and adult coat grows in. This is when matting begins and puppies are no longer wash and wear. During this period puppys should be professionally groomed on a regular basis (every 2-3 weeks).
DE-SKUNKING AT HOME A home rememedy to de skunk your dog that really works!!!
Make sure mixture is applied to dog prior to wetting it! 1 Qt 3% hydrogen peroxide 1/4 cup baking soda 1 tsp. liquid dawn lemon dish soap follow with shampoo after rinsing solution! |
